About Us

Hi, this is Mindy Hesterly.  Many people ask us how we got into the arrow wrap making business, so here is our story.

Scott has been involved in archery for more than 30 years.  He started hunting as a kid, growing up with a father who is an avid traditional bowman.  When I met Scott, I realized that the "sport" of archery is much more than just a sport.  Archery is a way of life.  It is a part of you that defines a lot of who you are.  So, when we were married in 1994, I knew that the only way our marriage was going to work was if I joined Scott in this way of life.  Scott bought my first bow for me (a High Country Archery compound)...and I haven't been able to put a bow down since.

We are members of the United Bowhunters of Missouri, United Missouri Bowhunters, Compton Traditional Bowhunters, Physically Challenged Bowhunters Association, and many other organizations.  Scott is also a regular member of the Pope & Young Club.

Our 10 year old daughter started shooting a MadDog custom recurve bow when she was 3 years old.  This year, she upgraded to a beautiful bow custom made by some wonderful friends...and has also picked up a Mathews Genesis.  Riley, our 8 year old son has now been shooting his MadDog custom recurve for about 4 years.  He is looking forward to hitting the woods with daddy-o this year.  We hunt as a family, scout as a family and enjoy shooting as a family.  Our children are growing up with a great respect for the outdoors and wildlife of all kinds.  Our daughter cannot wait to be in the stand for her first bear hunt.  And "bow" was one of our son's first words.

We got into making arrow wraps because we found that the amount of money that was being charged was more than we were willing to pay.  At first we had a friend make them for us and as we found the demand to be so strong, we bit the bullet and purchased the equipment needed to make our own.  We guarantee quality and service to all of our customers.  Over the past few years we have created a photobucket with countless designs for our customers.  Please feel free to look that over for more options, and continue to check us out here at onestringer.com to see more designs added.

And again, thanks for letting us be your arrow wrap specialists.

Sincerely,

Scott & Mindy Hesterly
